JLPT N5 Experience

I really want to share about my experience last JLPT.
Therefore I started this blog. It was a nice and unique experience, hence I couldn't forget about it!

Let's start with why I took this test. Let's say, back in junior high school I was an anime/idol/japan-thing enthusiast. I love Japan culture so much, I want to study there. So, I took Japanese class in UNSADA at 2010/2011-ish. Since I was just a kid, I got demotivated and not really enjoy the class. It was only 3 person in one class and it's a night class! The kanji are hard, the vocabulary and grammar was too much. So, after I finished the class I didn't really touch anything related to Japanese anymore.

Years later, I moved into the K-pop world. Japan was not so that fascinating too me. So I starting to forgot my Japanese as I entered college. In the middle year of college, I suddenly wanted to started over my Japanese and took JLPT N5 to got an achievement. Since studying in Fasilkom is too tiring, I have zero time to study Japanese (it got worse in 6th semester). But now, thanks to all those pains in past semesters in Fasilkom, I finally got some free time in 7th semester.

Finally, I registered myself to JLPT N5 around September. This was a bold step because I haven't review again what I learned in JHS. There are many kanji that I forgot. The test is in 2nd December 2018, so I thought that I had a long time, and it's gonna be easy because what I'm going to do is to review what I've learned. So I created a timeline to study with target 1 week 5 chapter (spoiler: I didn't follow the plan hehe).

One month before the test, I didn't study at all! I got panicked. Good thing is, there is a program in my University that providing a free Japanese class to help students to work in Japan. The bad thing is, they teach it from the very basic so there are a lot of things that I need to study alone. So, I pretty much use Sistem Kebut Semalam to prepare myself before the test.

The test day, was held in my high school! Such an unique coincidence. I felt grateful because my high school is near my home, only 10 minutes with motorbike. I was so happy because I don't have to survey the place because I already familiar with my own high school. I arrived pretty much 5 minute before the test lol.

There were many younger people than me that took the test, made me felt so stupid and old. I forgot about the test exam, but I remember how I nailed the test yeaa especially the kanji. I got all section with A! pretty cool, so proud of myself. :)

This is my experience. I will have N4 this July 2019! Wish me luck!
